Keep Going

With the new year well underway, many resolutions may be starting to fall away. The thing is, the resolution isn’t as important as the motivation behind it. Even if you slip up and slide back into old habits, you can still resolve to make positive changes. When this happens in my life, or when I really want to focus on keeping the momentum going, I use the follow words of advice to keep encouraged. Hopefully, they will help you as well.

  • “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” –Jim Rohn
  • “The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.“ –Unknown
  • “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” –Lao Tzu
  • “So many fail because they don’t get started – they don’t go. They don’t overcome inertia. They don’t begin.” –W. Clement Stone
  • “When there is a start to be made, don’t step over! Start where you are.” –Edgar Cayce
  • “The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret to getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks and then starting on the first one.” –Mark Twain
  • “You will never win if you never begin.” –Robert H. Schuller
  • “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” –Theodore Roosevelt
  • “A time comes when you need to stop waiting for the man you want to become and start being the man you want to be.” –Bruce Springsteen
  • “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” –Martin Luther King, Jr.
