Adding Friends to Facebook Page
When you first start your Facebook page for your company the idea of generating “likes” can feel a bit daunting. A good way to get the ball rolling is to invite your Facebook friends and family to like the page. Facebook makes this act quite simple to carry out.

First, login to Facebook and stay logged in as you and not the Facebook Page. Go to the Facebook Page for your company. From there, click the SHOW button at the top of page.

Using the see all link you can target your friends by location, lists, groups and recently interacted. This way you can target people on your friend’s list that would actually be interested in and benefit from liking your page.

Now that you know how to do it, let’s talk about who to actually invite. People are constantly being bombarded with invites for events, contests and other random things on Facebook. Keep your reputation in tact by only inviting people who would find your page relevant to them. For instance, a Facebook page dedicated to local events would probably only interest people who live in that area.

Another factor to keep in mind, when you first make your page, make sure to post some of your best tips and advice right away. Don’t invite people to an empty Facebook page. People want to see what they’re going to get, so give them a heads up.
